Homes, offices, shopping complexes, mega malls and all buildings that humans dwell in or frequent need a good plumbing system to maintain good sanitary hygiene. Plumbers play a pivotal role in maintaining this state of hygiene with their plumbing and fitting tools /techniques. Plumbers employ a lot of methods and accessories to ensure proper sanitation by effective draining of waste and uninterrupted supply of clean water. Plumbers employ a lot of fitting accessories like elbows, tee, cross, plug, nipple and trap primers in achieving their objective of ensuring good sanitation and also in the setting up the safe supply of gas.

Fitting also refers to the different types of techniques used by the plumbers. Compression tube fitting is one such technique. This method is used by both plumbers and electricians to join two thin pieces of pipes or two tube pieces. There are two methods in compression tube fitting; they are the flare method and the standard method. The advantages of this method are that it is very easy to use, requires little or no soldering at all and so can be used in situations where excess heat is not desirable. The main disadvantage of this method is the durability. This method is not known for its robustness and may give up under pressure. Another popular type used in some situations in plumbing is bulkhead fitting.
